The dose-response relationship  for plutonium incorporation corresponded to non-linear threshold relationship. Such a a relationship proved tobe most cleary manifested for adenocarcinoma. The threshold was 3.7 kBq for Pu body burden or 0.8 Gy for absorbed lung dose. Dose-effect for smoking had a linear character and was the highest for squamous-cell carcinoma.
We have not obtained convincing data characterizing    a dose-effect for chronic external gamma-irradiation.
